Story Telling through Photography

Participants tell the story of their place through sensory responses to their environment. The course teaches elements of composition and design to develop skills for taking better photographs, and focuses on using photography to develop the art of seeing. We finish the workshop with a short creative writing or Haiku about sense of place, based on the photographs taken.

The workshop is suitable for adults and young adults but can also be adapted for younger children. The workshop is usually conducted in smaller groups. Larger groups can be accommodated for with further discussion to enable the workshop to suit the circumstances.

Participants need to bring along their own digital cameras. For the longer workshops access to computers and a data projector is also necessary. Workshops are conducted at the participants’ venue.

Antarctica and Photography Composition and Design

Participants need to bring along their own digital cameras. Access to a data projector and screen is required. Workshops are conducted at the participants’ venue.
